Spiritual guide and Islamic teacher
Mian Munawar Qadri Tariqi Shazli was born in Rahim Yar Khan, Punjab, Pakistan, where he also received his early education. From a young age he developed a deep interest in spiritual knowledge, which led him to the company of the Sufi master Sufi Hakim Sheikh Tariq Ahmad Shah Arif (may Allah have mercy on him).
He pledged allegiance at the hands of his mentor and, in recognition of his sincerity and dedication to the service of Islam, was granted Khilafah. With his master’s permission he has devoted himself to spreading the teachings of the Tariqi Shazli order throughout Southern Punjab, calling people to spiritual purification, good character and the remembrance of Allah.
He has thousands of students and followers in Pakistan, the Arab world, Europe and India, many of whom now serve their own communities. He teaches the traditional discipline of spiritual practices and has written several books on the subject.
He also guides people who seek help with problems they attribute to harmful spiritual influences, always within the principles of the Quran and Sunnah.
